ABOUT

I’m a journalist based in Vancouver, BC. I work as a producer with CBC Radio's climate change show What On Earth, which won the Canadian Journalism Foundation's inaugural Climate Solutions Reporting Award in 2021.

As a freelancer, I've written about the arts, education, and the changing world of work. My series about B.C. restaurant working conditions “Slaves to Tips,” published in The Tyee in 2017, resulted in legislative change: a new WorkSafe regulation intended to prevent employers from being able to require restaurant servers to wear high heels at work. It won the Rafe Mair Award for Excellence in Journalism and was nominated for a Jack Webster Award in the Business, Industry & Economics category as well as the Canadian Journalism Foundation's Landsberg Award for reporting on women’s equality issues in Canada.

I have a Master of Journalism from the University of British Columbia.
