I’m a journalist based in Vancouver, BC. I write about work, climate change, healthcare, education, and the arts. I work as an associate producer with a variety of CBC Radio programs. Currently I'm with the national healthcare and medical show White Coat Black Art.
I'm named on the Canadian Journalism Foundation's 2021 Climate Solutions Reporting Award for my work with the team behind the CBC Radio climate change program What On Earth.
My series about B.C. restaurant working conditions “Slaves to Tips,” published in The Tyee in 2017, resulted in legislative change: a new WorkSafe regulation intended to prevent employers from being able to require restaurant servers to wear high heels at work. It won the Rafe Mair Award for Excellence in Journalism and was nominated for a Jack Webster Award in the Business, Industry & Economics category as well as the Canadian Journalism Foundation's Landsberg Award for reporting on women’s equality issues in Canada.
I have a Master of Journalism from the University of British Columbia.
